The pair were transported to a healthcare facility with non-life-threatening injuries that were given appropriate emergency care.

As the patrol officers and members of the emergency response team were on the way, a vehicle with 2 wounded people arrived at a gas station on Fraser Highway and Mt. Lehman Road.

According to Const. Ian MacDonald, the man and woman, both in their 20s are known to the police “at mostly the petty-crime level”. The police are still attempting to figure out the precise circumstances of the incident but they believe that the couple were in the vehicle at the time of the crossing.

For MacDonald, it appears that at least one of the 2 resided near the area. The APD major crime unit is still investigating the case including interviewing people and checking for possible security videos in the area.
