Bystander CPR is vital in saving lives during emergencies.

The company stated that the accident occurred when the snowmobile the woman was driving veered from a marked tour trail and crashed. At the time of the crash, Rocky Mountain Riders staff performed CPR and other emergency measures but when search and rescue crews arrived, they declared both victims dead.

According to Keith Davis, president of Davis Communications Group, there were five family members, including the two victims who were part of the group of 10 snowmobilers. The incident occurred just after noon. The route was described as a “gentle trail” and the snowmobiles are among the lowest-powered machines that the company owns. The trail did not involve steep conditions and guides were on both the lead and tail of the group.
